A rhythm playground

Build a beat
with fruit!

For parents and teachers helping curious young musicians discover rhythm

Every fruit fills one beat. Start with Plum and Ap-ple, then explore Pine-ap-ple, Wa-ter-mel-on and more.

Plum, apple, pineapple and watermelon above quarter-note, eighth-note, triplet and sixteenth-note rhythms on a musical staff.

A quick guide

From fruit words to real rhythm

Every fruit lasts for one beat. The syllables show how many evenly spaced sounds fit inside that beat.

FruitGroove is an adult-facilitated educational tool intended for parents, teachers, and other adult facilitators to use with beginning music learners. It is not intended for children under 13 to use independently. An adult—not a child—should operate the website and handle any future account or purchase.

FruitGroove does not ask a child to provide a name, email address, age, location, photo, voice recording, or other personal information. Children under 13 should not submit personal information through the Site. If we learn that personal information was submitted directly by a child, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. Rhythms created in the app stay in the browser during the visit and are not submitted to FruitGroove. We have not added advertising, behavioural advertising, third-party analytics, tracking pixels, or marketing cookies.

Anonymous feature-use measurement. FruitGroove uses first-party measurement to count visits, page views, visit duration, traffic sources, device categories, and use of key features such as playing a rhythm or choosing a Rhythm Card. A random first-party session cookie lasts for approximately 30 minutes of activity. It is used only to group actions into one visit, cannot follow a visitor to another website, and is not used for advertising or personal profiles. Individual session records are converted into grouped daily totals after a short period.

Approximate location and marketing measurement. The hosting service uses a visitor's internet connection to estimate country, province or state, and city. FruitGroove saves only those approximate place names with grouped traffic statistics; it does not save the IP address, precise coordinates, street address, name, email address, age, gender, or child identity. City totals are shown to the owner only after several visits have been grouped together. Referring website domains and campaign tags may also be counted so the adult Site owner can understand which general locations and marketing sources are effective. This information is used for audience planning and improving FruitGroove, not behavioural advertising, individualized marketing, cross-site tracking, or profiling.

Site hosting. ChatGPT Sites hosts this website and may process ordinary technical information needed to deliver, secure, and operate the Site, such as an IP address, browser or device information, and service logs. FruitGroove does not receive names or contact details from those hosting logs. Learn more in the OpenAI Privacy Policy.

Accounts and future Premium features. The free rhythm activity currently requires no FruitGroove account. If Premium is introduced, purchases, accounts, and sign-ins will be available only to parents, teachers, or other adult facilitators and must not be created in a child's name. A child will not need a personal profile to participate in the learning activity. Before Premium launches, this statement will be updated to identify the payment and account providers, what information they process, why it is needed, and the choices available to adults.

Contact and feedback forms. Adults may choose to send a first name, email address and message through the Contact form, or send a star rating and optional feedback after a session. Contact details are used only to reply to the message and are not sold. If an adult selects “Don't show again for 7 days,” FruitGroove stores only a suppression timestamp in that browser's local storage.
